After Sara and I taught our class on Friday at Costume College, we changed into our Victorian naturalist or explorer outfits to have quick photo shoot in the wilderness behind the Woodland Hills Marriot.
You may remember I finished this outfit last fall but I didn’t have the opportunity to wear it until Costume College. It ending up being much frillier and less practical than I anticipated; not quite the adventurous naturalist I originally envisioned. Sometimes an outfit works much better in your head than in reality. I have plans to revamp the outfit for another wearing, especially since we only wore these for about 2 hours and they deserve more exposure. That being said, I really do like how our photos came out. You can tell we were having a blast hamming it up for the camera.
