First Piece of My Williamsburg Wardrobe Finished!

My wardrobe for my upcoming Williamsburg visit is coming along swimmingly and I'm happy to report that I have my first finished piece - a new brown wool petticoat.

Since I will be visiting the city in March, there is a good chance it will be a) cold, b) rainy, c) muddy, or d) all of the above. I realized that my current wardrobe is sadly lacking in practical clothes. Most of my stuff is silk or white cotton, not at all right for tromping around in the mud. I do have the riding habit planned but one rainy weather oufit for a whole week is not enough.

I dug through my stash and was lucky to find just enough chocolate brown wool to make a new practical petticoat. It's super simple but I think it looks great with my Williamsburg print jacket. Now I feel ready whatever the weather may be!
